Joseap Ashish, An 18-Year-Old Sportsman Aimed For Muscular Body To Play Well In Sports

Joseap Ashish, an 18-year-old boy from Vadodara, wanted to get involved in sports and work on honing his skills. However, his Pandemic - Lockdown weight gain brought up a significant challenge in both his sports and his personal life.

Then one day he decided to get back into shape and show the world that he is a young man with a lot of potential underneath those extra kilos. He began his healthy journey with WFH, which stands for WELLNESS | FITNESS | HEALTH. It is an app that will help you in making the transition to a healthy habit-building lifestyle.

The Reason That Motivates For Weight Loss And Muscular Body

Being overweight is never easy, especially if you play sports and are unable to perform to your full potential. Those extra kilos on my weight were holding me back, and during my training session, I became overly excited and unable to perform. Then I realised that if I wanted to play well in my games, I needed to lose this extra weight.

What Is The Most Difficult Part About Being Overweight?

As a sportsman, severe back and knee pains are at the top of my list of concerns. High blood pressure used to scare me a lot because it can strain your heart, damage your blood vessels, and increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and death.

And I'd read that being overweight or obese may increase your risk of certain health problems like high blood pressure, so these facts and their implications for my health were terrifying to me.

Diet Followed

On the app, my meals were assigned to me over a three-day period. It was mostly made of green vegetable fibres, with a side of multigrain for essential minerals and vitamins.

  • My meal plan looks like

  • Morning - Hot lime water + almonds

  • Breakfast - Stuffed multigrain parathas + curd

  • Lunch - Veg curry + rice + salad

  • Dinner - Muesli khichdi / soup

Workout Followed To Achieve The Goal

The training plan was created to accomplish more than just a quick body transformation. It also helped me address mobility and posture issues, as well as develop a healthier body and lifestyle.

My workout routine consisted primarily of cardio and Zumba, with some strength training sprinkled on top. I usually work out in the evenings. I stick to a CrossFit session and don't exercise for more than an hour and a half. A typical CrossFit workout includes 10 minutes of running, 3 minutes of jogging, and 10 minutes of stretching, all of which are required for a proper warm-up.

What Difficulties Were You Facing During The Transformation Journey?

I didn't have any major problems, but it was difficult to get back into this fitness and workout routine at first. However, after a few weeks, I was back on track.

How Do You Stay Motivated?

Every aspect of the training programme was thoroughly explained to me as it progressed, constantly increasing my understanding of my body and key fitness principles. Thanks to this knowledge, I will be able to fully manage my own training workouts in the future.

The WFH team of coaches was supporting and explaining each scientifically-backed nutrition and training protocol on the live video feature, which are tailored to my level of expertise and the convenience of equipment or no equipment. On their website, they also sell reliable workout equipment that you can use to improve your workout.

What Lifestyle Changes Did You Make?

My diet was the most significant change in my life; now I count each bite and make it count by eating healthy and nutritious foods. The best thing I added is the Green immune-boosting smoothie and peanut butter on toast for breakfast, it tastes delicious.

Another thing I changed was my sedentary lifestyle; I now make an effort to move my body on a daily basis, for example, by taking the stairs rather than the elevator.

Lessons Learnt From The Transformation

I've learned that it's easy to get scared and wonder how you're going to lose this much weight or think how I'm going to change your lifestyle. But it isn't actually that difficult if you start doing it. And if you're reading this story just to get motivated, believe me when I say you won't be disappointed if you enrol in WFH. ENROLL NOW
